No more make shift crumbers, we need to recruit a pure small crumbing forward!

With both Jesse and Reid up in the forward line consistently crashing packs (Well Reid mostly), the requirement for a smart quick small crumbing forward is now a necessity to improve our scoring efficiency.

TDL is definitely not the answer as he is more a medium leading forward in the mould of lecras.

Mcglynn more of a half forward/midfield hybrid.

We absolutely need a consistent front a centre player who can cherry pick goals from a spillage.

    Trade Targets:

Brad Dick - very good when fit but apparently has alot of injury issues.
Michael Walters - looks pretty classy but probably wants to stay in WA
Neville Jetta - Probably more a of a midfielder but seems to read the ball alright and also might help Lewis thrive by having his cousin playing along side him.

It's been something we've been lacking for a long long time so i hope we can address it in the off-season.

Don't need one if a couple of midfielders drift forward or run hard to the fall of the ball. Would not give any of those listed above even a cursory glance.

I thought that Jed Lamb was drafted as a small goal kicking forward but he didn't seem to be playing as a small forward on Saturday so I may be quite wrong about that. We haven't had the opportunity to see what he can do yet.

I think we've got one of the best around in the team.

              Jarrad McVeigh.

Bit difficult considering current circumstances, but if kicking goals is important there's your answer.

P.s TDL was recruited and can play this role. Circumstances have forced him to play the lead up target apparently in both the ressies and the seniors.

Chops. He is your man next year. Might grow too large eventually as he looks in the Rohan mould but I would love to see Chops licking up the Reid/White crumbs.

                  Sigh.

But agree with OP, McGlynn doesn't seem to do this role (or they're trying to turn him into a midfielder). Find one or turn Jetta into one.

I think they have set Jetta roles this year to improve his defensive pressure and move the ball by foot. He can't be expected to do everything, and next year I think we will see him playng more as a running mid/wingman. McGlynn is the obvious choice to be the small forward, he's quick good with his hands and a good kick for goal

McGlynns first half of the season was outstanding. With another year or two im sure his consistency will be better and he will be able to kick 30-50 goals in the seasons to come. His pressure up forward needs to improve a little bit though.

Small forward we should be looking at.

anthony tipungwuti, the second player in the clip after Jaeger O'meara.. looks like he could be another star, plays like cyril, however concerns that he cant run out a game have been noted.. thoughts?
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.
