Adam's last six weeks have been nothing short of stunning.

We will never see another player like Goodesy.
      We're so lucky.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Right now he's playing the brilliant footy all game that we know he's capable of playing. I took my wife on Saturday and she was commenting how she couldn't take her eyes of him as he seemed in a different class to every other player.

He attracts Brownlow votes because he is, literally, an awesome AFL player. As Annie says, we are so lucky he is ours. Even better, he's an admirable man. I've particularly loved the way he's worn his heart on his sleeve over his co-captain's recent travails. I hope he can play for us for years more.

I just hope if he makes the 300 this season he let's his peers carry him off. I just get the feeling if it's a losing final v Cats/Hawks, he will be that devastated he will just push them away and refuse...

One reason I was hoping we wouldn't make a second final - would hate for his 300th to be a losing game. A few weeks ago it was touch and go we'd make the finals. At least on form we make be a chance of an upset if we do make the second week.

I just hate that he'll have a 300th away from home.
              It's just not right.

Haven't read all posts, but will answer anyway. It will be in Melbourne (when we win this week) against either Geelong or Hawthorn.

I'd like his 302nd to be a winning one in a few weeks' time.........
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

I almost want to lose this week so that Goodesy can come back and play his 300th in Round 1 at home.
Knowing our luck though, the AFL will put our first game next year in Perth!!!

I get your drift, but I'd LOVE to go into the 2nd week of finals with a Prelim and Goodsey's 300th to play for! bring it on I reckon.

I absolutely dont get your drift. I reckon we have a midfield the equal of any in the comp and a team which on its day can beat a lot of teams. i want them to believe that this week is completely winnable and that they have a lot to play for.

And if that means we have a game in melb at the mcg in week 2 against one of the better teams in the comp well i for one hope that it happens

That is not the kind of attitude Goodesy has been known for throughout his career, and it certainly wouldn't be a fitting way to celebrate his 300th. He's always been all about the team and I'm sure, for his 300th game, the best thing would be a win in a final and a great team performance.

Not that that's guaranteed, of course- St Kilda have been in good form and will be eager to repay us for Round 22, but I can't imagine anything less fitting for recognising Goodes' contribution to this club than hoping for a loss in a final.

It's pure selfishness on my part and it probably won't happen ... but it would be nice.

Very selfish Annie but I do understand wanting your favourite player to play milestones at home! but finals are sooo soooo much better no matter where they are!
