As long as his 400th is at home I don't give a rats where his 300th is.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I want his 300th to be next week as it would have meant that we had won this weekend - and while just playing finals at the moment is probably sufficient considering where our list is in redeveloping, I think winning finals is so much more important for the team going forward. And I also think that it beign Goodesy's 300th will be all the motivation for the boys to go out and give their all against Geelong and Hawthorn, and we wouldn't certainly not be without a shout against either of them if we performed to the very best of our potential.

        This.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this weekend. While I'm not definite about a win, I'm pretty confident with our form that we can get the job done. Just give it to Goodesy or Rohan and watch the goals tick over!

The win against Geelong would be more use to the team without getting spanked in a final in Melbourne. Although we've been competitive the past few years we havent had a win we could really draw belief from. Thats what we have now.

If we go down smoking in a losing final to St Kilda, I think that would be a better outcome than winning and getting blown away by Hawthorn. But then, you cant win the flag if you're out of the comp so, lets see how it all pans out.

Very true, but we got within a kick of a Prelim final last season, and frankly I think we are a better team this season, so I'd probably be a bit disappointed if we couldn't at least match making the 2nd week of last season. To me, even if we got done comfortably by Geelong or Hawthorn in the 2nd week, the experience is still well and truly worth it. Getting 2 big games into some of the younger guys (especially players like Sammy Reid and AJ) can only be beneficial for their development going forward. I still think though if we get through this week, we will give whoever we face a red hot run for their money, as a 300th is a massive occasion at any time of the season, but invariably teams will lift for their champions in such a situation.

But first to knock off the Saints under the roof, which will be no easy feat!

That may be a blessing in disguise. We haven't played well in the wet and it looks like rain in Sydney and Melbourne this weekend.

Saints haven't lost a Saturday night game at Docklands since 2003. Time to break another hoodoo I think !!

I view him with nothing but awe and childlike wonderment. He's not a once in a generation player, he's a once EVER player. I hope we have him till his old age. We can wheel him out in the forward pocket when needed. God know that man can be 60 and still control the ball like its on a string.

Love you Goodesy. <3 I only hope the boys give as much as themselves on Friday as you have given this club over the past 13 years.
