Well, I've looked at the game again and I've finally found a negative.

We do have potentially another speedster in Jetta who has been a bit of a serial underperformer this year. Imagine after a good preseason, him finding form and having Rohan on one wing and Jetta on the other. Dynamic! We have Kennedy and Parker to feed the ball out to them and they have the pace to burn off anybody.

Tom Mitchell anyone. Maybe Jude will find it hard to get a consistent game if this bloke lives up to what we have seen. The number of players who can and will be able to rotate through the midfield in 2012 continues to mount after Parker and McGlynn's efforts last week. Mind you, in my humble opinion, McGlynn should have always been in the midfield when he joined us.

        1. To smash Geelong in the clearances but have fewer inside 50s (and fewer scoring shots) than them, sums it up. Firstly, we turned the ball over too often; and secondly, when they didn't have their mystifying attacks of fumbles, they were more efficient than us at breaking through the middle of the ground. (Admittedly, they are perhaps the equal of any team in history at that particular aspect of the game.)
        2. Kennelly, god love him, tried hard but was somewhere between poor and embarrassing when the heat was on.
        3. We don't have two Gary Rohans.
        4. Why doesn't Luke Parker play like that every week?

Very Negative - Yes we took our chances but if you look at the game again, there inside 50's where generally towards either boundry which is very rare for Geelong. This is the reason they kicked poorly and wasted other chances (our tackling was also important)

Get off Parker's back he is 18 and in his first season!
Staggered he didn't get the Rising star nom this week

Given McGlynn is our second highest goal kicker despite spending the second half of this season in the midfield, I don't think you can bag his efforts up forward. Especially considering last year his stints in the midfield were pretty much failures, but he was a matchwinner up forward.

That said, he did look bloody good. He attacked the contests like a man possessed, and won 10 clearances (not to mention pulverising Selwood).
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Actually thats an aspect of his game I really like, reminds me of a pit bull. "Take a dive" Selwood was right off his game after he could not fool the umpires the first few times. He appeared to have no plan B and Mc Glynne was giving him heaps outside the field of play.

however, if you did like I did and turned down the sound and tuned into 702 ABC instead made the game really better than hearing Dwayne Russell carrying on. - Mark McClure (the love of my life) raved about us, he just loves Sydney - he did the same last night on AFL 360 - so did Gerard Whatley and he's a Geelong man.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Very tempting to write something but seeing I will be within belting distance on Saturday, probably not a good idea!

Not sure if he loves us, per se, (he is far too deeply dyed navy blue) but he certainly has a lot of respect for our club. Something I wasn't aware of until very recently is that he is a NSW lad by origin (possibly even Sydney).

I do enjoy his comments on AFL 360. Not just because he often has positive things to say about the Swans, but just because he always calls a spade a spade and never beats around the bush. I don't always agree with him (I didn't agree with his comments about Adelaide and Jake King yesterday) but I like the way he goes about things.

AFL 360 would be my most favourite footy show of the week.

All the panelists are enjoyable to watch. I didn't think I'd like David King but he has really surprised me.

I listen to the ABC every Saturday from 1pm (well, on the internet from 11am for the Coodabeens) mainly to hear Mr Maclure's thoughts.

                        On his background:

"That claim proved to be a very cheeky one. While Maclure was in fact signed to Carlton from the Sydney club, he had actually been born in WA, and took to the game in the southern states. This came about because Mark?s father was in the Australian Navy at the time, so Mark played football wherever his family was sent. At the height of the Vietnam conflict in the early 1970?s, that meant Sydney."

Gee ya think?? of course his first love would be Carlton, I didnt say that he loved us more than Carlton -so I should have said "expressed deep admiration for the Swans".apologies for being thrilled with someone in the footy media, who actually knows what he's talking about, who gave us praise, and good praise at that. sheesh what was I thinking!

Gerard Whately is fantastic, McClure of course and David King is growing on me - Robbo - well he's a bit of an angry ant at times - but I do love the way the boys took the piss out of an absent Robbo the other night, dunno if Robbo would have been too happy though.
