We would have had another premiership "Era" if some moron hadn't run over Bob Pratt. !!!

According to Jim Main the moron in question was actually a Collingwood fan, apparently he "apolagised"

btw: Supporting 2 teams isn't really an intellectual challenge. I'm a member of a club of another code and my head hasn't exploded. It can be done.
I'm not quite sure why you (in either your Bas or Big Al guise) keep mentioning supporting teams in different codes. Barracking for teams that actually play different sports and never compete against each other is not exactly revolutionary. Guess what - I like NZ in the cricket and Russia in chess, but whatever that proves isn't really worth knowing. Supporting two teams in the same league is a bit different. Good luck to those who like polygamy, but it ain't my thing.

I use the NRL simply because it is in competition with AFL in Sydney. Might not be an on field competition but they compete in every other possible way from junior participation through to the advertising dollar.

I respect the fact that not every Swans supporter will support GWS, that is their right. As it is my right to follow and support who I like.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

To be fair, supporting teams in completely different leagues is not the same as supporting teams that are competing against each other in the same league.
