    Who will be Sub?

Generally interested in who Horse will play as Sub this week. His track record with Subs is poor!

I don't think he will have Bird again.
Rohan has to be on the ground.
    Parker was brilliant last week.
    Keneally's swan song.
McVeigh needs the game time i presume.
Every other player looks set in position.

    Any Ideas?

I'd seriously go with Kennelly the more I think about it. Forgetting the possibility of an injury (touch wood), unleash him all fired up for the last quarter and a bit.

Kennelly - the roar will be enormaous when he takes the vest off and runs onto the ground.

Not many coaches have got the sub right all the time this year - so I don't think Horse has been too far off the mark.

Everyone uses the Seaby selection as an example of poor choice- I believe that was an experiment to see if and how it would work.

I agree. I know they would want him to have a last full game. I just think he may have been given Tiger the pat on the shoulder about retirement. Give him one last go at the SCG and hope that the game is won by half/three qtr time and let him go out a winner.

I don't see many other options

Kennelly is about as obvious a choice as there's been all year..

I haven't checked for Rounds 18-22 but in all the other rounds the sub has come from the 4 man bench named on Thursday/Friday. So take your pick from Tadhg, Birdie, Gaz or Parks

I wouldn't be worrying too much about the swap yet. Potentially Mattner, but it depends on many things, including the I word.

If it wasn't Kennelly's last SCG game, I agree he's the obvious choice.

                      If not, Bird.

                      Certainly not Rohan or Parker.

                        inclementness?

I doubt very much that Mattner will be subbed off (unless injured). If we're up by enough (but not ahead by enough to threated St Kilda's percentage, say 7 goals?), would they contemplate taking Goodes off? I still remember what happened to Micky O at the last round of 03.

                              What Trip B said!!

I couldn't believe that Bird was the sub last week, however given the game plan we went with, close in, contest after contest, stoppages and a plan to win at the clearances, Bird as the sub was perfect. He provided a fresh set of muscles and relief for Jude Benny and Josh. I think Horse got this one right on this occasion.
