    Grand Final on Radio in Wollongong

    Have a wedding in Wollongong on Grand Final day.

    I live in Melbourne and have to fly up.

    The ceremony starts at 1:00 and it will be one of those big Italian jobs.

    I most likely won't be able to get the game via an iPhone app so I will have to go AM/FM.

    Is there any radio station picked up in Wollongong that will have the match, more importantly any of the Melbourne station pre-game?

      Another wedding during finals, who comes up with these crazy ideas???
      Anyway, the ABC will definitely be covering the GF, just find the local frequency.

          Yeah well the wedding is on 'her side of the family'.

          Sounds like I will get the pre-game on the wife's iPhone and then I move to radio and listen to the ABC for the match.

                  Yep, ABC for certain. 2UE might even take the 3AW coverage as there is no NRL at all until the Grand Final sunday.

                  Some of the southern NSW radio stations, like 2EC etc are taking AFL Live's coverage (which is hosted by Sandy Roberts) also.

                      The relevant ABC frequencies up this way are 702 AM (Sydney), 666 AM (Canberra) and 97.3 FM (Illawarra) which covers the Wollongong area. On Grand Final day, these stations will all be broadcasting the same programme which will be the G/F commentary.
