Who is the "form" team going into the finals .... ?

... with convincing wins over Saints & Cats ... most of their players available ... stars in form ... peaking at the right time ... dare I say it?

Cannot believe tonight's result, makes it even more unfathomable considering we beat them at home last week. I don't think I even know what form is anymore..

      Hawthorn are in good form.

A good win over Brisbane would be good however as we saw tonight things can change very quickly.

I think there was one team going through the motions tonight to retain match fitness and that's about all.

I only caught the second half and by then it was all over.

It seems like it's all up for grabs now.

            One week at a time!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

This finals series is compelling. It involves quite a few 'big' clubs and most finalists have had upset wins over each other. At this stage I don't think we can read into form as such because finals are a different kettle of fish.

On our ability to go deep in the finals, well, the Swans are very rocks or diamonds. Play to our ability and we'll push any side (though I'm not convinced about our ability to challenge Hawthorn), however if we are even 10% under then we'll do nothing but embarrass ourselves. I would be pleased with getting into the second round. Everything else is an unexpected, novel bonus.

Very, very true! Would be extremely nice to see the DIAMONDS turn up to play for the remaining games, then our season might have a bit more than two weeks left to it!

I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn't surprise me if we end up playing a preliminary final against the Eagles in Perth.

Well after last night who knows?? I was watching the game thinking how the heck did we beat geelong at geelong??? I think anyone can beat anyone on any given day, finals is a whole new different ball game.

Anyone who thinks we can't challenge a particular team is craaaazzzyyy. I'm not afraid of anyone. I'm not saying that we will go all the way and that I feel confident of beating teams but I know deep down that if things line up we can beat anyone, especially if all 22 players put it all on the line. September is a different beast. We are the Bloods.

Will be fun to revisit this thread if we get done by the Lions.........tumbleweeds in the wind.

It'll be a lot more fun to revisit it when we BEAT the lions.
My theory is that we beat the cats...they thrashed the Pies..the Pies did Carlton over, and if Carlton beat the WC , we must be the best team in the comp!!!Therefore, here comes the Flag!! QED.
