Right about now I'm more than happy having the best player in the comp right now playing his 300th game this weekend for our side

They won't stop him and if they try too that will create problems all in itself. Jesse/Sam/Spang/Rohan should kick 10 minimum between them. A rampaging Goodes creates opportunities for the whole team and we need to capitalise on it this Friday. They'll do their best to stop him but there really is no one that could beat Adam this week except himself. I can not wait.

According to Paul Roos speaking on OTC the losers in the first week of the semis usually win in the second week. Hence Hawthorn and West Coast should win. Hope he is wrong and another "hoodoo" is broken.
Two things that will be helpful is Goodsy's 300th and Buddy's injury.

Buddy or no Buddy, It will take a better peformance than we have produced so far this year (including Geelong at Geelong) for us to beat the Hawks. You dont have a year like Hawthorn has had and get bumped in straight sets easily. I hope we can get up, but i think it would be naive to think that a Hawks team with no Buddy will roll over. No chance.

They will be at their most ferocious on Friday, and they sure as hell wont want to be emabarassed by a team that 5 weeks ago didnt look like making the finals. If we can produce our absolute best, for four quarters, who knows what could happen.

Im proud of the boys, and am simply excited i get to watch them live 2 weeks in a row in Melbourne! ( I cant say i've ever done that before) Hopefully they do us proud. Go Bloods!

Roos keeping the Swans as underdogs.

Unfortunately the Preliminary final will definately support what he was saying.

Looking at history, commentators and all of us would be well advised to not expect a win. Is it 3 EF winners have won the semi the following week - out of 36 games? I think we can do it but I'm certainly not expecting us to, as I was last week. That's also making me a lot more relaxed to be around than last week.

It feels quite different to last year in many respects for me. Last year I thought we could beat the dogs and knew we matched up really well on the saints and gave us a really good chance of getting to another gf. This year because of who is waiting in the prelim i'll be really happy to go out there and see them play their absolute best and maybe win.

But i do want to stick it to the rest of the footy world to stop underrating the club and the team because I for one am so proud that that the team has got through to the second week of finals and could even manage another two weeks.

in this vein it was so strange to finally have a few commentators realise that the swans have rebuilt the list over the past 5 years and have stayed really competitive over the trip.

Yeah teams rarely go out in straight sets but I think our confidence is that high at the moment I too think we will win and of course there is the buddy factor but even if he does play, he couldnt be 100%. The only concern for me is our record at the G, but our record down at geelong wasnt too good either and we turned that around. Swans by 19 points.

                          Who ya gonna call? Mythbusters!

THEY have become the AFL's mythbusters.

Geelong invincible at home? Send in the Swans.

St Kilda unbeatable at Etihad Stadium on a Saturday night? Only until Sydney makes it a day of judgment for the Saints.

What if the rule of thumb applies to Sydney? The Swans boast an appalling record at the MCG, the venue for tomorrow night's semi-final against Hawthorn.

Since then, though, they have debunked the above myths in reeling off four straight wins and coach John Longmire is confident another hoodoo will be busted.
