Healy has not come across to me in this manner. Maybe he is harsh with his comments about White, but that could be that he is disappointed with his output due to the potential he obviously has. I have felt this frustration with White as I feel that he can become a real game breaker, but I have been really impressed with his recent efforts. I suppose that we tend to overlook the fact that in footy years he is still young and is developing work in progress.

Harry O'Brien @@@@s me to tears as a player. So many times he goes into a contest with absolutely NO EYES FOR THE BALL and gets away with it.
For the first time against us this year he got pinged doing it so at least the umps are wise to it.
Seems like a very generous and hard-working guy off the field but he would need to get rid of that crap from his game.

Wow, I'll have to watch him more closely.
I just see him tearing up the field with the ball and kicking long into the fwd line.

My Geelong mates are rapt that the Swans have got rid of St.Kilda.Why? They don't match up well on them!
I believe the Swans are quite popular Finals contenders and a lot of Melbourne people want them to sink Hawthorn.
I think none of them consider we can go the whole way but I think we can. The Pies are already showing Colliwobble signs and West Coast only have themselves to blame for losing to them. Geelong is vulnerable to a team that tackles ferociously and does not let them get their free flowing play started.Hawthorn is missing two tall towers in attack but is still dangerous.

Good summary. But I think the Cats may be doing the same as the Saints and underestimating the Swans - despite the most recent result against us. Sadly, I don't think the Hawks are underestimating us at all - and some of us are underestimating them. In recent years one thing they have done very well is get wins when they shouldn't after players went down to injuries.

Agree 100%! The Hawks game is a danger game for us.They will do their homework very well and you can expect many of the "plays" we have come to expect from our team to be stopped by them. I believe that this game will be Longmire's ultimate test as a coach and the test of how flexible we as a team can be. I hope he doesn't just react to what the Hawks do but counter attacks with moves of his own.eg if Goodes is tagged out of the game move him to Full foward or put Teddy CHF for 5 minutes. Players will have to adjust instantly to changes. We need moves to confuse them too and don't wait too long to swing the changes if something is not working!

He's portrayed as a nice genuine guy off the field, championing causes etc and he may well be that nice guy. A bit like Kirky and Goodes are for us.

But on the field, he comes across as anything but the nice guy, niggling and throwing little punches in at every opportunity, not to mention the lurking around the man on the mark before rushing into shepherd and block illegally multiple times a game.

There was an article in the paper a few weeks ago, I think from Todd Balym that really pissed me off, where both the journo and Harry labelled people who don't like Harry as haters, suggesting it was racially motivated.

I'm a Harry hater for sure, but can guarantee it has zero to do with the colour of his skin or background, but 100% to do with I just don't like the way he goes about his business on the footy field compounded by the off-field holier than thou attitude.

The Swannies will have to start the game better than they did last Sat. night. Looking at the replay, the first half of the first quarter was extremely awful. How many times, one after the other, did kicks pin point the opposition. One reason was probably nerves, another, Ross Lyons' set up of his players had them flummoxed. I agree with Harti they are going to have to adapt more quickly because Clarkson is surely going to spring some surprises. AG is going to have quite a night, I hope he can win out over whatever they do to try and stop him.

Goodes will be tagged hard so we just have to rely on Kennedy (vs old team) Hanners and Jack to step up.
