I'd be so incredibly ropable if Sammy Reid found his way anywhere else. As soon as our playing season is over, the Club should be on the phone to his manager trying to thrash out a new deal. Even if we have to pay significantly over the odds for him - there is no way we can even contemplate a player like him leaving our club. He is a man to potentially build a Premiership team around up forward.

Out of Contract at end of 2012
Hi everyone
Did a search but couldn't find a recent thread about players out of contract...
So my question is who is out of contract at the end of 2012? Who do we need to worry about with free agency coming in?Comment

It might depend on who else is available. If there are bigger and better names than Sam Reid to chase, then he might not be a priority, but if his brother can be signed, then Sam might be much more sought after. Maybe if Horse doesn't work on his kicking accuracy until he signs a long term contract, he wont be as much a target? Once he's locked in, then we turn him into a star!
But Collingwood are a now proven premiership contender, so the lure away might not be as strong. If the Swans had a super talented list that was a near-guarenteed a top 4 finish and a genuine GF tilt, retaining players might be easier, against the ca$h lure of GW$.
I'm pretty sure Pebs wanted to. And while our finals record is comparable to the Maggots over the last decade, our "premiership window" is likely more just adjar than actually open.Comment

I'd be seriously looking at how to get Sammy's brother. Like the Sav/Anthony Rocca situation reversed. Remind the Magpies they owe us for the dud deal we got for that one.I'd be so incredibly ropable if Sammy Reid found his way anywhere else. If Reid was to go to GWS, if he continues his form next year, the Swans will get two very high draft picks in return.
I've got better things to do with my life than to worry about the end of the 2012 season.
Besides, I have my GWS membership because I can support two teams if I want !

One thing we all need to know about Blacktown, after living there briefly, I can assure you all, it's a toilet, and would take a lot of money to move me back there, never mind living at Coogee etc. Parramatta, on the other hand, has some of the best gym's around, and is the CBD of Sydney, the women are incredible(Iused to sit and watch them go to work, drool). It's difficult to go anywhere without getting in a fight, well, when I was younger, and I never enjoyed fighting, but lots of people do, and at Blacktown, thats a good night outSam Reid is the big one.
I think it will be easier for GWS to get interstate players than Swans. It's hard to image someone swapping the Eastern Suburbs for Blacktown voluntarily.
Could you image doing recovery sessions in the Parramatta River rather than Coogee Beach! You can't argue with a sick mind - Joe WalshComment

i think from comments in earlier posts & articles as back up some of those players have already signed. Rohan for a start signed a three year deal earlier in the year. I think Jude is contracted until the end of 2013 in a new 2 year deal. I suspect that quite a few of those could come off that list. If we havent signed them then it is very bad news but I think ROK is signed. Maybe Liz or Al could confirm who is signed to what year.Looking at the OOC players this year we shouldn't lose anyone too senior. Some kids we should try and keep, like Gordon, Currie and Kruger.
But next years list of OOC has some BIG names, we really need to lock down.
Ben McGlynn

Jarred Moore
Jesse White
Josh Kennedy
Jude Bolton

I thought Jude signed a one year contract extension. You would reckon that is about what his body could take.Comment
