Would need more confirmation other than a local rag piece and a verbal assurance by the player to Annie. I'm sure he's telling the truth but confirmation from the club would be nice...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

This should be a mission next Friday night. Notepad and pen in hand, all CC attendees should make it their goal to update the RWOWiki on contracts.
Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions when the players are drunk. In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

A) the current information available; and
B) the RWO community can keep it. That's everyone, not just a few of us.Comment

How many years do draftees in the National Draft get on their first contract. I was under the assumption that it was two years, and if that's the case then Brown and Lockyer would be out of contract.Comment
-
Two is the standard but sometimes clubs give players longer, especially the more highly regarded ones. You wouldn't think that Brown or Lockyer would have fallen into that category.Comment
-
I think the Swans give three year draftee contracts as standard practice, rather than the mandated two. I think the theory is the first year is often a write-off, especially with a club that nearly everyone has to relocate interstate for.Comment
