I think the Wiki is out of date as Rohan is signed until the end of2013 if he extended the contract a year to 3 years as has been stated by Annie and in the News. The Wiki has 2012.

Two is the standard but sometimes clubs give players longer, especially the more highly regarded ones. You wouldn't think that Brown or Lockyer would have fallen into that category.

I think the Swans give three year draftee contracts as standard practice, rather than the mandated two. I think the theory is the first year is often a write-off, especially with a club that nearly everyone has to relocate interstate for.
