    Last Minute Change - Bevo

    Ok

Prediction - One of the younger players will be replaced by Bevo. Hard body needed and Bevo's in for Bird or Rohan doesn't come up sore knee...

(or Tadgh rested for the next week.. was a last minute thought)

    Rod_

Farewell game? Or is being nominated as a reserve his farewell?

Bevo is a great servant of the club. If he gets a late call up he'll put his head over the ball, give strong shepherds and get bruised for the team

Don't disagree - but would still rather Rohan or Hannebery out there (providing they are fit!) Obviously Bevo would be a good replacement if the unfortunate happens ...

Agreed - Rohan and Hanners are a class above. I've just always had a soft spot for Bevo - i really admire his courage

If Rohan isn't fit, I'd be fine with bringing Bevo in to play up forward. We lose a lot of pace, but Bevo isn't slow really, just not as explosive as Rohan (who is, aside from Goodesy?). We don't lose anything in tackling ability and Bevo has kicked important goals for us before.

If Hanners isn't fit, I'd contemplate bringing Bevo in as well to replace Parker in the forward line. Parker would push into the middle to take up Hanners' role. Or I'd bring Mal in to play up forward/wing and push Parker up the field more. Mal and Parker essentially would share Hanners' role through the middle.

Jetts doesn't get a look in.

I agree. In a final I would bring in Bevan ahead of Jetta. Actually, I'd probably bring him in ahead of Jetta in home and away too, based on the last 10 weeks.

It's weird because I think the best game Lewis has ever played for us was in the SF against the Dogs last year. I had been a bit underwhelmed by his year as a whole last year but I thought he was bloody brilliant in that game. Tackled hard, won some contested ball, kicked a beautifully composed goal in the last. Really looked good.

I really thought that'd be the making of him, or at least would really set him up for a really improved 2011 but it hasn't happened. Not giving up on him at all, let me make that clear. Just really thought that performance could have been start of his rise.

Hawthorn will be hard tomorrow, Bevo is just the type needed if someone doesn't come up. As a forward I think he has a bit to offer, would have liked to see him be given more time as a forward this year.

One of Bevo's best games vs Carlton Prelim 2010 for this game a natural to come in for grunt.

Seems that I have a few that agree that Bevo has ticker and if someone in not 100 % could be a good solid bodied replacement.
