    Suddenly, a flood of praise

The Age has turned its pages over to a Swans love-in today.

    Longmire proves the right man
Richard Hinds' verdict: Longmire has been a success in his first year, making some small but key tweaks.

How Adam Goodes? mum made him a star
What a legend. Deserves a medal. Goodesie's mum I mean.

Squeezing the life out of spineless Hawks
Haha, clever pun by by David King in match preview in which he actually predicts a Swans win.

Robert Walls salutes the Swans culture
Sydney gives value for money says Wallsie.

    Man of steel
Profile of Jude, of course. With quotes from former flatmates Heath James and Ryan Fitzgerald.

    The Josh Kennedy story
How he left the family business to go north and is now no.2 for clearances in the comp.

Loyalty above all for former Swan
Lovely one about Henry Gunstone, who played a dozen games for us in 1960s and still watches all our Melbourne games.

Swans friendless as punters back Hawks
If you?re worried all this friendly support might change our underdog status, fear not. With Buddy named to play, the punters are flocking to the Hawks. They?re around $1.35, the Swans at $2.80.
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news

Something makes me feel mighty uneasy about the media saying nice thing about us.

This is spooking me. Hope none of the players read these articles.

PLEASE ... Melbournians ... go out and start burning those papers!!

                We don't need the jinx.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Rhyce Shaw left Collingwood three years ago with a question mark over him. Not now. In three seasons as a Swan, he has become an elite defender, with his running bounces, followed by long kicks, creating 70-metre plays. Marty Mattner is a better player since he left the Crows and Ted Richards' 33 games for the Bombers have been forgotten. He did a job on Nick Riewoldt last week and will enjoy the challenge of Lance Franklin, if he plays
                  From the Walls article.
                  Haaaaaaaaaaaave you met Ted?

There are only 6 teams left to talk about at this stage of the game; I suppose you'd expect more attention!

It's funny, I don't like this sudden attention either. I'm sure the boys are focused only on the game.

Many AFL players use ice baths after games and training. Goodes submerges himself at half-time of every single game.

"I reckon he's been doing it for as long as we've had an ice bath at the club," says Swans physiotherapist Matt Cameron. "He stumbled upon it when we started doing it in pre-season games when playing in hot conditions.

I had NO idea that Goodesy hit the ice pool at half time.
                      Cool!!
                      No.
                      Cold.

Tim Lane may be annoying but he's always been on the Swans' bandwagon and hence we got a good run with channel 10 last week. Don't expect anything like it this week with Bruce & co from 7.
