    For those with superstitious tendencies and a bit of spare cash, why not a small wager on the Swans for the flag into the Tigers for the NRL premiership?! Around 100-1 for the double (not that I condone gambling, well, not as much as the AFL does via its advertising sponsorships)!

          There was one person reported at the time who had backed the double $20 here, $50 there all season at ridiculous odds - he stood to win 900k or something by the end of it and ended up backing the cowboys in the grannie (at the encouragement of his bookie) as a saver for 200k or so to make sure he came out with at least half a mill ....

          Or so the story goes ....

                      Good choice..the high lead content in the air due to the smelters in port pirie make for some very interesting characters in that town..
