    The flagellation thread

The thread where people can make all sorts of claims about the various complete and utter inadequacies of individual players, our coaching staff, list management, club, inevitable decline to 14th next year, issue insults about pea-hearted players, skills deficiencies and other things that infect RWO after a loss
'Delicious' is a fun word to say

          Hanneberry should not have played.

They're white with red/orangy feet. Clearly this should not be allowed. Game should be replayed at the dome

Were they the ones who refused to blow the whistle to give us a free, or the ones dropping chest marks and refusing to man up in the first half? ... both of them hurt us!

Seriously though, the way we played, how the hell did we get to within 3 goals in the final term!?

Okay might as well vent while it's hot

Hannebery - in hindsight, clearly not right and should have been overruled by the medicos.
Kennelly - clearly carried into the finals and has offered little this season.
Skills - poor, poor, poor and its deficiencies were highlighted against the top efficiency side this year
Defence set up - How Hawthorn could structure their defence so that Reid was always up against (at least) 2 defenders while poor Teddy had to battle manfully against Buddy in an open forward line is befuddling.
Forward line - No structure, all leading to the same spots which played right into Hawthorn defenders' hands, particularly Gibson.

Please - he's not a razor. Razors are sharp. Bubbles* is just a self aggrandising twat who thinks the bright colours his bosses make him wear are so he shows up better on tv.

                      * in his review of the Freo debacle, the Giesch said Ray has a bubbly effervescent personality. And he is never wrong. Nuff said!

It was easy to get seduced by the hype after beating St Kilda but Hawthorn were a 6 win better side than us during the course of the regular season. A win tonight would have been a MASSIVE overachievement. That is the reality of the situation - there is some distance between the top 4 and us. We were consistently inconsistent this year and at times during the season were woeful. Still winning a final last week was a great effort and I think to finish in the top 6 is pretty reasonable.

And were bloody useless - couldn't even be relied upon to drop one in Buddy's eye ....

+1. But until tonight, it was nice to entertain delusions of grandeur - in spite of all sensible evidence both this season and since the current finals format was implemented.
