Watching the grand final in sydney

Now that Club Swans no longer exists, can anyone suggest a good place to (eat and) watch the grand final this saturday.

With no league on this weekend on Saturday, I doubt there'd be a pub or club in Sydney that won't be showing the AFL GF on whatever big screen is available.

In other words, take your pick.

I think Australia play Russia at 1.30pm in the RWC our time which does throw a slight spanner in the works for those anti AFL establishments.

If you're out in the Hawkesbury region, get along to RG McGees in Richmond, where the Nor-West Jets always have a big day in front of the big screen. We'll be there from about 11am.

I watched the GF at the Alexandria last year, but it was a draw so I had to watch it all over again the next week.

You should have watched the next game instead.

I am going to my local & hoping it will be on. The Orange Grove as they have two areas I don't see why they shouldn't have the AFL on in one area. The GF could go two ways the Pies because they played the hard match last week will be battle hardened and win well. Scenario two the Pies because they played the hard match last week played their GF last week.

But substancially this is a GF only Pies & Cats fans care about and the Cats & Pies being up there is getting boring. Next year lets see a whole lot of other teams in the Eight including Swans for top four.
