Ok here we go, The Jesse train is a rolling, we will be making plenty of stops along the way, jump onboard or dive out of our way, all join the Jesse trainadore

Very exciting to have a circa 6'6"/100kg 23 y.o. on the list that averaged around .7 goals per game in a decent level comp. Hey, wait a minute...

I'm actually very excited to see what Tommy can do, he's supposed to be a stellar athlete. Great to have strong competition for spots.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

The Saints worked hard to keep him which say a lot. I hope he and Jesse spur each other on to great things! Imagine Syndey with Reid, Jesse and Walsh all firing.

You've got to remember, Walsh played the majority of the year in defence. Take his games up forward, and his goals per game average would be much, much higher.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Oh certainly, I don't really have much of an idea where he played most games but knew he had played front and back- I just thought that it was kind of funny how close they were in age/height/weight and basically the same goal average to boot yet Tommy seems to be a lock by some on here for lining up at FF round 1 with Jesse banished to Siberia (well Canberra, but same thing).

I'm actually really excited to see what Walsh can do- I remember when he came over that he was supposed to be an absolute freak of an athlete and I've been eagerly waiting to see how he goes at AFL level, wonderful that will now be in a Swans guernsey.

I would say the fact that we targeted him and he was so absolutely determined to come to us indicates that we've guaranteed him a spot at FF in Rd 1 next year (barring injury/absolutely horrible preseason form). Whether that will be at the expense of White, I doubt. I see it as being Walsh at FF, and then down to White vs Pyke for the key forward/2nd ruck role. Personally, I have Pyke ahead, but the coaches may see it differently, or want to give White a run to begin with and replace him with Pyke if he fails.
