    A Berth for Bevo

Paul Bevan has the chance to be picked up by GWS, along with O'hAilpin and Baker.

I'm pleased to hear it: he has something to offer the newbies and I imagine they'll be glad to have him riding shotgun.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Hope so. Just the kind of player they need - strong body, great work ethic, and with League heritage.

Perfect player for GWS. Was more dissapointed with Bevan being delisted than I was ablett, buchanan, davis etc leaving. Deserves a chance.

I will be pleased if GWS has the brains to pick up such a solid player. Good luck Bevo, looks like we won't be booing you if you do get another chance. xx

It's a pity that they didn't trade something for him. That would have been better as I knew he would probably end up there.

However the best part of that article was:

O'hAilpin is unlikely to be sought by the Swans, who had inquired about him during the trade period, but have dropped off after signing another Irish key position prospect in ex-Saint Tommy Walsh

Is there a quota for Irishmen?
