    Which Team will win

Not much happening ! I know we love to name the best 22. But I think it may be too early for season 2012. I have now though split our list evenly into 2 teams based on their average Dream Team points AND super coach points in 2011.
I named them the Red Team and the White Team:

    Red Team
    B R.Shaws, T.Richards, A.Everitt
    HB J.McVeigh, M.Spangher, N.Malceski
    C C.Bird, A.Goodes, D.Hannebery
    HF L. Jetta, T.Walsh, G.Rohan
    F M.Morton, M.Pyke, N.Gordon
    R J.Kennedy, M. Seaby, T.Mitchell

    INT D.McNeil, Draftee 1, Draftee 2

    WHITE Team
    B A.Johnson,L.R.Thomson,N.Smith
    HB T.Armstrong, H.Grundy, M.Mattner
    C B. Meridith, R.O'Keefe,K.Jack
    HF L.Parker, S.Reid ,J. Moore
    F TDL, J.White, J.Lamb
    R J.Bolton,S.Mumford, B.McGlynn
    INT E.Kruger, Draftee3, Draftee4

If they play before the NAB Cup as a intra-club practice match, which one will win? Red or White? Will any of the two teams win a few AFL games alone?

I would say Red, contains Goodes and a better midfield.

I think White because they have a better ruck division, Sam Reid and a much better back six. And Red have Spang in defence.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

The more important question is who would I support - you've split all my favourite players up!!

          White

However if you changed one player I would change my mind. Grundy for Spangher and I would bet Red!

Better defense to stop Reid / Goodes changes the match up IMO

White has better defence and more attacking options, plus Mumford. Red has better midfield, plus Goodes.

            I'll go for White.

And thanks for not confusing us by putting WHite in the Red team.

White. The red team might have the better mid field but Goodes would have to play forward all game or they wouldn't score enough to win a game.

Terrific concept Aaron. Thanks for the effort put in.

I hear Chamberlain will be umpiring. As he doesn't like Red and White, I predict a draw.

Since my new "love child", *said in the manliest voice possible* Chops is playing in White, that's who I'll support.

What if Draftee 1,2,3 or 4 was Fev?

White. And if Draftee 1, 2, 3, or 4 is Fev, we have lost our minds.

Yeah agree with consensus that white team would win. More forward options and the reds defense is weaker. As long as they won half the clearances, and they would, with Mummy in there.

Both teams look reasonably good but the same exercise two years ago wouldn't have looked anywhere near that standard.

Just shows the depth we have brought in and developed over the last couple of years, now we just need to raise the class element of the team.

Great concept Aaron, thanks for the thought provoking thread.

This prompted a further thought: the reserves ought to do OK next year!
