What happened to the 'phantom drafts'

I always enjoyed going through the phantom drafts in previous years.
On the AFL site it was, from memory, Matt Burgan, or some name similar.
The Herald Sun did one as well.
Does anyone know why aren't doing them this year?

AFL says it's on their site from midday today with Jason Phelan.

Burgan works for the Demons now. There are plenty of phantom drafts on BF of varying quality

I don't think it's as good as Burgan's past efforts who used to mention in his description of the player which other clubs were sniffing around.

The lack of phantom drafts might be the fault of GWS dominance in the draft. I'm not excited about the draft this year. We get who we get on the night.

I notice there didn't seem to be any recycled players in the list from the quick look I had and I'm sure that won't be the case.

Rumour on SEN this arvo was that we are interested in a 19yo CHB from South Warrnambool.

Difficult to get excited for this draft when we only have 2 live picks past 40 in what is a compromised draft.

Having a look back over the drafts of the last 5 years or so, we shouldn't be getting our hopes up as the weaker drafts have proven to be pretty slim pickings in the latter stages.

Hopefully Kinnear can pull a couple more rabbits like Parker and Johnston out of his hat

That's a really amazing effort considering she only put forward 3 names and the lateness of our draft picks. Either that or she has inside contacts.

I get the impression from the Lewis Johnson trade news that she might have a very good inside contact at the Swans.
