Josh P would have to be quickly staking a claim for it.

From those I can remember, it would be Goss, followed by Fields and Fosdike. I would think in a couple of years Kennedy will have surpassed Fields and Fosdike and by the end of his career probably Goss as well. The only problem with Goss was that he transferred to Hawthorn mid career.

Len Thomas was an outstanding centreman through the 30's. He won the club B&F in 1931 & 1938 and after quitting footy to enlist lost his life fighting the Japanese in New Guinea in 1943. Of the more recent crop Nick Fosdyke was a favourite of mine

The late 70's were a terrible time for the Swans, we were building a great team that should have done great things, then Carlton pinched our coach and the whole thing sort of unravelled. I think the Pitura thing made the clup trade happy and I think the loss of Goss was part of that.

I just can't be objective with these "Best Player" threads and from my perspective they are more Favourite Players so for me it's Joshua P.
He is soooooo quickly making ground on Stewie and Dickie as my favourite Swans ever!

From what I've seen Fosdike. I reckon Kennedy will go past him though.

Now Jewels. Not Stuey. Be honest now. Pretty faced hard at it lovely smile Joey for blond darting eyes, swift and accurate Stuey? You couldn't. Not deep down.

I think he already has. Not that I don't like Fosdike, I think he's a player we've really missed and never quite replaced since he retired, but he was never a superstar. He gave his all each week, played his role, and was a small but very important cog in a Premiership-winning midfield (and almost won a NS for his efforts in the GF), but he'd never have topped the AFL in a key stat like Kennedy has (clearances). Kennedy is our best midfielder, aside from Goodes who is a part-time midfielder anyway.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

He's making ground Primmy but that's all. Stewie is and always will be my all time favourite.
It was the sight of Stewie streaming downfield when I was dragged kicking and screaming to my first game of "aerial ping pong" that converted me to the game, so for that reason alone I will always love him (nothing AT ALL to do with just how beautiful a looking man our Stewie is)!

RWO definitely needs a "how hot are the boys" sealed section.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
