If they're selling dog memberships, will the Club sell Premiership Lap Dog memberships?

It could be the start of a lovely relationship. I suppose you'd have to forward a photo for approval first.

I am pretty upset you can't get memberships for gerbils. Sure, he doesn't get a view from his position, but he attends every game.

I thought footy was all about in and under!

Welcome to the forums Richard. Loved you in Pretty Woman.

I bought a pet membership and sent it to an old girlfriend. They say I'll walk again but it'll be with a limp.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Jenny, I'm pretty upset that the Club offered premiership club upgrades mid-way through the season.
Premiership club is something that is paid at membership renewal time - you put your money where your mouth is a good three or four months before the first ball is bounced in the new season.
Being able to buy into it when we've only got a few weeks to go, in my opinion, is a bit disrespectful to those who have more faith in our team.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Why? They had tickets left, they sold them. Would you prefer the seats remain empty?

By buying early you ensure you don't miss out. I'm sure over the next few days there are going to be some members ticked off they missed the opportunity.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I have no issues with this at all. It's no different to people who decide join up throughout the year. It's also a revenue source for the club which is also a good thing.

So everyone who buys a Premiership Club add-on membership is entitled to purchase a GF ticket. So it is not being disrespectful to those who purchased pre-season as they don't miss out.

It would be if it they were sold at a discounted or pro-rata rate, but they are sold at face value.

                            Sorry.
Don't agree with being able to upgrade late in the season.

I agree. I forgot to mention this as well.

The Club has so many tickets to sell in this category and they sell them. It would be different if they switched this category to a ballot and started selling more tickets.

I don't understand this at all.

There were some PC memberships available. People bought them at full price. They are now full.

I have had premiership club since 2004, and I am thrilled that people are buying them up mid-year because the club gets extra revenue, and it shows that there is a sense of excitement building around the team this year.

Let's have a closer look at this?

Scenario 1 : Club allows people to buy upgrades mid-season

Pros : Club gets additional revenue. Some people get to guarantee their seat at the grand final if we make it.
Cons : If we make the grand final, the pool of tickets available to full (non premium and non premiership club) members is a little smaller.

Scenario 2 : Club does not allow people to buy upgrades mid-season

Pros : Some people who signed up for premiership club pre-season get to feel better about themselves.
Cons: No additional money for the club, club gets stuck with 5000 additional ponchos.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
