    Favourite Swans Goal Ever

Reading about Brad Seymour in the Favourite Number 7s thread got me wondering about what Bloods supporters would consider to be their favourite Swans goal ever. (Seymour kicked a goal that I just love in Kelly and Dunkley's last ever game in 2002!)

Would it be Plugger's record breaking goal? One of Davis' goals in the last quarter of that final? Amon's goal that put us in front in the 2005 GF? Or something a bit more obscure but special to you for some reason? (I have very fond memories of a goal that Stevie Hoffman kicked in 1970 at the Lake Oval that got us over the line against the all conquering Magpies!)

Would love to hear other people's thoughts!

They're all good, but that's the one.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Yes, but there are always some that stand out ... There are always some that are (McAvanish) special ...

Cue, Big Al's list, then add

Tilt's only ever goal. It was talked about for a while (and now, still is).

And then there are some Capper specials, but most of those were just slotted goals after some outstanding marks. But that's a whole new subject

Yeah, Davis. Nothing comes close for mine. It helps that I was at the game, and right in line with the ball as it sailed through. Just unbelievable.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Davis last goal against Geelong was sooooooo sweet. Ahmat would be next.
Pluggers goal was an iconic moment but not a great goal.
Any goal that meant we beat the Roos is good in my book.

                Stuey's 75 meter bouncer Port EF 2003.
Baz's goal after the siren against Brisbane.
                Kirky's last goal last game.
Brad Seymour's goal against I think Carlton, when he raced around doing pony prances with excitement.

oh dear, the list will be never ending.

Growing up through the 60s being a Swans supporter was a tough gig. That goal by Stevie was sheer absolute joy and a chance to give it all back to the maggots. I don't think iv'e ever been happier than that day.

Oh, bless you for remembering that goal, too! It was a VERY happy day and I was able to "give it back" to some Collingwood supporters at school who'd had many years of fun at my expense!

Gary Rohan's goal this year was pretty special. A bit of Stevie J about it.

Jetta's snap at Etihad against Essendon this year was pretty memorable.

Gaz didn't enjoy that goal much did he?? His personality needs to come out more I reckon.

The other memorable one for me was Schneider's in the PF. It sealed the game, it caused a mass exodus of Saints fans to the exit (being the helpful guy I am I directed to them to said exits) and it caused mass jubilation in our area behind the goals. That was a good night.

Ray Lucev's goal in the 60's from the forward pocket at the stand end. Was lined up alongside the point post with only an inch of daylight between the sticks, on his wrong side. He went back and kicked as straight as a dye, straight through the high diddle diddle. No checkside, no screw kick, just a dead straight drop punt. As perfect a kick as you could get. I was sitting in the stand right behind him.
