    Swans make a profit

Thanks to depreciation and a 10% boost in corporate memberships.

Memberships and membership revenue were "roughly in line" with 2010, which I take as meaning "below".

Anyway, not a bad result in a year when crowds were down quite a bit.

Membership target is 40,000 in the next five years.

Good news, seem to be travelling OK and the paper profit reported is impressive considering just how horrible the weather was for what seemed to be every home game last year and that the ANZ games crowds were quite low.

In fact that was our first profit in four years. No wonder it felt so impressive.

Has to be the most stupid story title I have read - Black Swans delighted.

Reading the story and the Swans hoping for more attendees next year is like me hoping for a super slim waistline and a wealthy super model girlfriend for next year.

I hope the Swans actually do something more than "hope" to increase numbers.
