Burning Question for 2012: Swans from Bigpond Sport

A series of articles have been written on BigPond sport examining each teams' prospects for 2012.
Here is the view on the Swans.

    It's a bit ho hum.

    Apologies if already posted.

It seems very odd that when talking about key forward options, they don't even mention Reid once. That's probably a good indicator of the amount of thought that went into it.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

All good addressed in the comments:

      "Brendon
There is a glaring omission here with regards to Adam Goodes and how much he will play forward. Two years ago the Swans drafted an exciting key forward by the name of Sam Reid. He was the best emerging key forward in the competition this year (with apologies to Jack Darling) and has just signed a contract until the end of 2017. Obviously he is rated VERY highly by a team that knows about key forwards. He could pair with Tommy Walsh for the best part of the next decade. Also the query over a lack of top-liners in the midfield may be a bit premature too considering in 2010 the swans had a guy called Dan Hannebury win the NAB Rising Star Award. Has the author watched much of the Swans play or is he just going from a pretty ordinary memory?

The other startling omission is Josh Kennedy. Fairly good midfielder I think.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

On SEN this week Champion Data did a review of how each club fared in the draft for the purposes of the Supercoach and Dream Team, and prospects for next year. He regarded our midfield as underrated and the best emerging midfield in the competition.

There are a million accredited AFL reporters. Clearly not real hard to get a gig in this sphere. You would swear they all sit in the same room and work off the same script.

Rogers appears to be in the NFI or NARA category.
