In today's Herald, Malcom Knox has this rather hagiographic piece on the SCG, and lists some of the many uses of the ground over the years, including athletics carnivals, fireworks displays, school picnics, cycling, "Highland gatherings", the rugby codes and even the 1934 Empire Games.
Yet there is not one mention of Australian Rules Football, or the 30-year use of the ground by the Swans. I had to read it twice just to make sure, but there's no mention of us. Incredible.
