    Signs in the crowd

Just watched Swans Vs Magpies Round 4, 2000 (drawn at 100 with 3 minutes to go, Magpies go on to win by 5) and saw a couple of signs in the crowd that took my fancy. They were 'Harbour Heroes' and 'Sydney's No. 1 Team'.
Do you think they are relevant in todays inviroment i.e. especially the second one with GWS coming in.
Can anyone come up with some new ones that we can use?

There's always signs/banners in the crowd that use a clever play on words, like "We've got the Goodes".

Off the top of my head Yvonne, I can't think of any along the lines that you are suggesting although those two you mention are good ones.

The all time classic sign IMO is the one held up by the Brisbane crowd in one of heir GF wins over Collingwood. It was fabulous lampooning of that gold jacketed collingwood buffoon and read "Game over Joffa". I'm sure someone here can post it again, just to remind us.

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

My question, Yvonne, is why do you still have a copy of a game we lost? If you looked at my video/DVD colllection, you'd think we've never, ever lost a game - losing games get chucked or taped over! You must be a better "sport" than me!

A couple of years ago 7TWO showed 'Footy Flashbacks' (which I found out was on from RWO) in the early hours of the morning so I recorded them and if any were worth keeping I put them onto DVD. If any game was good viewing I kept it ( we didn't necessarily have to had won). I must be a tragic AR follower hey what!

More power to you Yvonne. I won't watch a single second of a replay of a game we got beat in regardless of how good the game is. I just can't do it.

Hahaha, I'm with you Sandy! It's the standing joke with my family that the Swans are now ten years undefeated.
The only losing game I possess (but have never watched) is the 2005 QF and the only reason I have that is because I brought the boxed set!

I have the 2005 Victory Pack, and there is one DVD in there that I have never watched.

there was a sign in the crowd at the 05 Semi Final "Nick Davis come to Savis" or something like that - never a truer word!!!

I have never watched the WC Swans final in 05 - that is still in pristine condition - and I only watched by default the '06 granny on foxtel last year ans I still felt gutted at the end of it - so that is a "never to seen again" game.

I will always remember the night we beat WC in '06 by a point and magic has his rave at the WC cheer squad - I was at the Southgate Inn in Tamworth for a mates 40th - I asked the chap in the front bar to put it on just for the last quarter - the other patrons were none too pleased - so I used my girly charms, bought them a round of beers and they watched the last quarter with me!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

The pig with plugger's number on it was pretty good. Maybe not a crowd banner but it was released by the Swans faithful, little did we know then that he would be playing for us.

All of you who won't watch the 2005 Qualifying Final against West coast are depriving yourself of a little bit of AFL history. The WORST umpiring decision EVER is in that game!
