    Memories of the Cresswell knee

Carlton's Jeremy Laidlaw popped his knee cap ala Cresswell style in todays NAB Cup game. Looked just as bad and they popped it back in before taking him off by stretcher cart.

Tom William's for Bulldogs has done what looks like a serious shoulder injury.

    NAB injury list grows.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I saw Cresswell provide instant therapy on his knee that day, literally hand-banging his knee cap into place. I almost gagged in my mouth when I watched the replay. It was an act of breathtaking bravery and gut wrenching. I caught up with him at a function a couple of years later. He told me that he did not realise what he was doing at the time. It was just instinct. It was a tragedy to see him make so many bad decisions after he left the game. When he was named a member of the Swans team of the first 100 years, he received a standing ovation and some of the players and tragics like me wiped away a tear. Tough, reliable, good kick in defence or attack, hard. He was a terrific all rounder. I loved Cressa.
