I do think that not establishing year-round training facilities from the get go was a pretty big mistake. A lot of money has gone into establishing BOP as a home base for them, I appreciate it was to share with cricket but that they haven't been able to train there during the summer is absurd.
I understand they used public gyms through summer (not sure how frequently), and trained on half a dozen grounds. I think it'd be fine for them to have different summer and winter bases, but I'm not sure how practical that is- the Swans obviously use LSO in summer but that's with having direct access to their own training facilities- not sure what a split home would do for young players mentally.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

An enormous mistake, an unbelievably stupid mistake. Reminds me of an old gag: Why does history repeat itself? Because people didn't listen the first time (e.g. 1983).I do think that not establishing year-round training facilities from the get go was a pretty big mistake. Agreed!!
Can't believe these types of things weren't sorted out very early on. The travails of the Swans and Bears should have been a blueprint on how not to do things...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

And the sad bit is that we've all got to sit back and watch them throw more good money after bad.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

This was the reason that North Melbourne didn't relocate to the Gold Coast. There was no facilities for them at the projected start up date.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment
