''One day I'd like to have our own radio station and I'd like to have our own TV station,'' he said.

I'd like to have our own footy show at least, after watching the AFL fotty show last night I was sadly disappointed in the the level of coverage given to a flagship game in Sydney. I understand Sam is a turd with no brain whatsoever, I still remmeber his bold statements from 2005 when he said we couldn't win and were no good. I also understand the Jim Stynes overshadowing everything, but really, there's one game to preview and they don't spend any time on it??????? Bloody Melbourne media. Bring Neuil Cordy back for that half hour show and sign Roosy up. Oh, and if Sheeds thinks they will belt us, I hope he's watched some of our hard nuts going at the ball

Probably just jealousy. One thing the Giants will never have is a large and loyal fan base in a different state. One of the greatest characteristics of our club, and something that makes us unique. Two cities, one team.

That is why I despise GWS and will be giving them hell on Saturday night.

I really don't know why some of our fans especially some on here are being so damn nice to GWS.

It's obviously their fans don't like us and Sheedy has hated us for years so we should treat them like we would do to every other team.

A Carlton V Collingwood type rivalry would be a bit hard to generate with some Swans supporters turning up in Orange to GWS home games, ill give you that. Enemies one week, allies the next.

              That's what I mean.

I would've thought we would've looked upon GWS the same way Adelaide Crows fans do to Port.

GWS fans already see us as similar to Adelaide already.

The Difference being Aussie rules Football is the number 1 football code in Adelaide. It is in the spirit of trying to make it number 1, or at least a much closer no 2 code in NSW, that i believe some Swans people are throwing some support behind the Giants. That i can understand. Weatring another teams colours, not so much. Hopefully, if and when the Giants get off the ground a bit more, we can all turn our attention to hating them

I think this is great that GWS hate the swans and vice versa, it can only be a good thing for the game up in sydney, get a real hatred rivalry going like port-crows and eagles-freo. For some ridiculous reason I am a little on edge about the game tomorrow night, I think we will win and should win well but the fear and embarassment of potentially losing is also on my mind, we would never, ever hear the end of it not only from GWS supporters but others aswell.

We're never going to get our own footy show on Nine, but who'd want that anyway? However, I think Fox Footy should look at running a 30-60 minute program once per week based in the other footy states. All of their shows come out of Melbourne and, with a few notable exceptions, from a Melbourne-centric panel. One show each per week from Qld, WA, SA & NSW would go some way to redressing the imbalance.

With Gerard and Roosy on the panel of On the Couch, the Swans get a good run.

Who can remember the last time you heard an AFL broadcast on Sydney radio on a Sunday when the Swans weren't playing?

I thought the Lions were in the same position with regard to the Fitzroy supporters.

I don't believe they have quite the same level of support , I may be wrong but you don't often hear of the Lions talking about there great support in Melbourne, or holding family days down here.

And when Brisbane won their first premiership, no-one talked about the premiership drought being over for Fitzroy fans like they did for South Melbourne fans when the Bloods won in 2005. The Swans relocated, Fitzroy were taken over and obliterated.
