    Paul Kelly breaks hip

We can confirm that Paul Kelly has sustain a broken hip in his motorcycle jump attempt at Docklands on Wednesday morning.

Kelly, who sounded very nervous pre-jump when speaking to Triple M's Hot Breakfast, will spend the night in The Alfred hospital.

But if anyone doubts how tough Kelly is, he was completing post-stack interviews after the accident and it was only revealed later he had sustained such a serious injury.

If I had known it was on, I would have gone and had a look.

I saw it on the news. It didn't look good.

Demonstrating a complete lack of understanding of the potential seriousness of such an injury, both of the pain at the time and the potential implications for the future...

It's the long term injury and inconvenience that would be kels worry. Sure we all recover but as his age and not getting any younger..things get complicated. These are the things we never hear about.

                    Stupid stunts.

I had a broken hip, it's a bad injury to have, 6 weeks in traction and 6 months on crutches and I still carry the scars, but life goes on, I doubt he's still running around a footy park, and as such with the treatment options available today, and the fact that he was in good health, should allow him to make a complete recovery and in better time and fashion than what I got
