I hope our back line are ready to put that little dung Beatle Bsllantyne in his place next week - he got under Scarlett's skin and he decked him and will get a few weeks for it. Let's all hope he gets the bad prawn sandwich on the plane over. Cracker of a game though. And he has taken over from Milne as the serial pest

Whole bunch of great games this weekend; made our effort last week look very ordinary. Maybe we can legally subdue Ballantyne next week; arrange for him to run at speed into Mumford or something.Comment

Rd1 is always pretty good because sides set themselves for a great start and have a long time to prepare. With due respect to GWS, i think you'll find the Swans have been eyeing off the Freo game for some time. You'll see a different intensity from the Swans than you saw last week. Early prediction but I think we'll win by 4-5 goals...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Not endorsing Scarlett however looked like a bit of world class acting included.
Hope there is some vision of Ballantyne's hit on Chappie and he gets a week.Comment

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Didn't see the earlier incident with Chappie but I hope the little p###k gets a week also, if only for the fact that we then don't have to worry about one of our boys doing to him what Scarlett did.Comment

God i hate that little twat Ballatyne. If I ever run into him in the street, it would take a lot of restraint not to deck him. He is an ultimate pest.
What a good game of footy it was though - thoroughly enjoyed it. We will have to improve substantially on how we played last week to get close to them. Sandipants looked like he was sore towards the end of the game, we could use him being out!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

They're saying Scarlett will get 3 weeks. I presume there's an added penalty because Ballantyne actually got up...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

What is interesting is that the Dockers only won by a small margin. It is a long way to travel and if the home teams are in reasonable form very hard to win at Pattersons. From the highlights it seemed to be a very good, high standard game. I think we have to step up a gear but in saying that we normally do in big games. So we haven't beaten them at the SCG in two seasons! We can and will do it if we have the right personnel in the side and that means some specialist forwards and Seabs.Comment

Ballantyne is fast becoming my most hated player. I wish Scarlett had broken his jaw.Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment

I think worrying about Ballantyne is not going to do much good as there are 21 other players to deal with. How do we combat the influence of Sandilands, Clarke (who took the Cats Backs apart when resting), Pavlich, McPharlin, Moribitto etc. Their midfield is as good as the best in the comp on a good day and they have a very strong spine. We now have genuine pace so we are not going to be slower than the Dockers at least. We need to use that pace and I wish Rohan would be shifted out of the Forwardline onto either the back flank or the ball.Comment

Normally I'd agree but there is a small group of players where the image of them drinking a T-Bone steak through a straw does bring a smile to the face. That little germ Ballantyne certainly qualifies for that group...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors.
