Curiously this week's "Inside Football" sees 10 of the 11 tipsters go for the Swans.

Agree with everyone who said it feels like the season is just starting. Our round 1 game was like the curtainraiser on grand final day.

Why curiously? If we are to go top 4 this year then we should be favourites to beat teams like Fremantle who have their eye on top 4 as well. Last year we played against a Freo side that had 23 men (Razor Ray the extra man) and lost .This year with a more balanced side and playing against 22 we should win .Of course we have to play well but thats the same story every week.

          I think Top40 has a good point.

10 from 11 'experts' would suggest we are just about over the line, but we are anything but. While I expect us to win, I think 'curiously' sums it up pretty well.

Agree, this is the type of game we need to win to be in top 4 contention IMO, not in a ladder sense at the moment because it is so early in the season, but just to see if we can take that next step.

I would add to this also that we need to make the SCG fearfull for other clubs again and a win on saturday (particularly a good win) will go a fair way in acheiving that.

Freo will crumble now that everyone is pumping them up, Swans by 45, Reid will Kick 4*

Has Mumford ever rucked against Sandilands? If he has, I cant remember it. I think he was out suspended for a sling tackle on Ablett 2 years ago and missed against Freo at the SCG and Pike rucked admirably(sp?) against Sandilands on that day. And last year, I believe Sandilands was out for both games and Mumford dominated over at Subi.

I dont think Mummy has rucked against Sandilands....well not in the red and white anyway!!!!!

                  Am I wrong?

I would wait for a few rounds before we judge Freo. I do believe now that they have ousted the stupidest coach in history they may turn into a potent force. They always are competitive in WA so the win against Geelong shouldn't be a surprise. It's when they travel that we can guage them. Think the Swans will win albeit by the barest of margins

I don't see how they can bring Seaby, Shaw, O'Keefe in the side and have Parker stay there as well. The first two for the chop would be Cunningham and Everitt and who would the unlucky third be? Perhaps due to the forecasted rain they might shelve the plans to bring back Seaby for this week?

Freo By 10 - 20 cant see where our goals will come from, LRT at FF 2nd ruck against Freo why??? surely this is the game we need either Seaby or Pyke, looks like nothing has changed from last season same same but not different.

                            Cheers

Freo's durability has improved greatly from two seasons ago.It needed to.
But I still think they are particularly vulnerable to "Swans-like" pressure. Even if we are 4 or 5 goals down at HT , I would not write us off.
