    New role for Bevan

    As our WA recruiter:

Nice to see he's still on good terms with the club and able to contribute.

When I think Paul Bevan I think "smart footy brain".
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I wonder if he realises that his opponents may now be out to impress him a little more, and he gets some more attention in game-time?

This makes me really happy. Talk about close a door and open a window! Man of integrity wins again.

                    My first thought as well.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Eh. Hank Playfair didn't seem like the smartest bloke on the field, but he's doing alright. Knowing the game and being able to make decisions quickly are two very different (but obviously complementary) assets. Bevo probably has the former, just not the latter.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

haven't really heard much of his results this year. Perth recruited well with him and Neon Leon plus some others, but they haven't dominated which is more likely a reflection on the coaching staff from perth...

but a great story that Bevo is still on with the club in that role...WA has some great talent esp in the mature rookies and yng fellas that are AFL ready playing against the bigger bodies,,,so hopefully that will allow us to recruit well
