    Brisbane v Carlton

Round 2 kicks off tonight in Brisbane. Can someone explain to me how the Lions are allowed to play on a 5 day break? I thought there was a 6 day minimum.

It's called TV ratings. For a 6 day break, the Lions would have had to play on the Friday. Scheduling Brisbane for Friday night would have drawn signficantly lower ratings than Coll-Haw.

Does anyone think the Lions can get up? They were fairly impressive last tweek, albeit against the Heartless Dees. I tipped them, i think they will go okay.

Actually I thought they average against the Demons, the difference being that Melbourne were abysmal. Carlton should win easily.

Is anyone watching? I find myself swinging wildly between outrage at the free kicks that are being ignored by the umps and delight that the letting things go!
          Strange feeling.
Loving the Lions 1st qtr efforts.

which one? 2nd for mine clean grab and he converted... look for the replays people if you were not watching it live. And the Blues hammering of the Lions (even with the 5 day break) puts into perspective how awful Melbourne were.

Two more sleeps till the SCG

              Good point. Both were fantastic.
Whilst I bemoan the lack of defensive one-on-one footy (I love ugly footy) I am loving the spectacular grab fests. Is there a way to marry both this elements into the modern game?
Poor old Lions. How good is Simon Black. I think I love him as much as Kirky does.
