So on a preparation of half a NAB Cup and three parts of a ressies game, it's Lockyer in, Shaw out.

      Good luck with that...

He would have played against most of the guys playing for Freo Saturday and the guys playing for the Eagles at some stage or another. So don't treat him as a junior who has only played at junior level. He may need a few more games but I like the way he moves and think in time he will fit nicely. He has played exactly 2 WAFL senior games. He played 4 for the reserves, the rest for the Colts. That is hardly "a year of WAFL experience".

I like Lockyer too, but to suggest he comes in this week, especially when we don't exactly need him (we've got one too many key defenders as it is) is bizarre.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

          Wowee.

Seems like if someone doesnt grt 30+ poss and kick 5 goals they should be dropped

          We're 2-0
No need to fiddle too much. The most settled side usually wins the flag.

Didn't Shaw tag Hill anyway? If you Judge his performance based on Hills impact, I'd say he did a sublime job. Hill had little to no bearing on the outcome IMO.

Mumford for Seaby the only necessary change. If Mumford isn't right again then I'm more than happy for Seaby to go again of course.

Incidentally, it may be an unpopular view as Seaby is treated pretty poorly by a lot of Swans fans from what I've seen on forums but if I had any power at the Swans I would be advocating for him to be given one more year on the list at least. He is the perfect option to have if and when Mummy is unable to play. He obviously might not want to play mostly in Canberra for another year and would rather go somewhere else but as he ages his suitors would most likely be falling I would think...

I think he is more than capable of being a first ruck at a club but if he can't find anywhere, I would be very happy to retain him.

I remember he tried that and failed the fitness test. Just as well too as Ports new young ruckman Redden looks like a keeper.

And I'm thankful he failed that medical at Port. Like others I would prefer to have Pyke in the side as a 2nd ruck if I were to choose exclusively between him and Seaby, but as a 1st ruckman in place of an injured Mumford, I would definitely be selecting Seaby.

My brother is a Port supporter and he was very aware last weeks win was one out of the box for a young developing team. They came right down to earth against Essendon who had 31 to 21 scoring shots. I think Essendon are also a work in progress as well and had 3 injuries on the day and Port still couldn't capitalise on it. Why not take the opportunity against a young side to try a couple of players and rest a few experienced players. All I am saying is we should beat this mob even if we change 4 or 5 players. To try 1 or 2 would be a good thing to blood a few younger boys like Lamb even though his game last week wasn't that great. Maybe Nipper again. Just to give them a sniff and keep them keen. We did this last year when a few of the older players had some niggles and it was ok.

So after playing one game in two weeks, you think we should rest four or five and bring young ones in against a team that had a very good victory last week, playing at their home ground?

I look forward to reading this site if that's what we did, resulting in a loss. The yells and screams for Longmires head would resound around the country!

Surely if there were players that needed resting LATER in the season, games against the Suns and Giants would be the ones to do it.

                              shame.

Disappointing news today for Lewis Roberts-Thomson who is expected to miss the next three matches after scans confirmed he suffered a fractured cheekbone during Saturday?s victory over Fremantle at the SCG.

So you would think White for LRT would be the logical replacement ie. Forward / ruck.
