Everitt and White: Talk about getting your chances. Everitt has played something like four senior games for the Swans and made little impact in any of them. He is slow of foot and inaccurate - not traits to build your AFL career. White has played more games but he has no mojo. Gee, I really wish them well against Port. You would have to think Longmire's patience has run thin with these two. Mine has.

        "Go Andrejs"...yes I like that...but where...GWS perhaps.
The guy is a lemon & I can't find any reason why he would be picked in any circumstances.
White...we'll see...but the facts speak for themselves.
If this is the best we have got to fill holes at this stage forget about a real challenge this year.

i think they want to leave Goodes in the midfield as much as possible in this game - so being able to push incy up to Forward when needed is fine for me

the guy makes some good leads and marks and can kick goals - it is as much about flexibility for us as it is matchups

Yep, Horse has already said that Everitt is just a fill player. When the likes of Spang and Pyke are fit they will provide that tall option in the forward line.

(fingers crossed for Jesse as well)

We need to find a permanent full forward. At the moment it seems this is a spot taken by a resting ruckman.

My ideal forward line would be:

TDL White/Walsh (depending on form/experience) Resting ruckman (LRT, Mummy etc)
                  ROK Reid McGlynn

                    This old chestnut again

After playing a terrible game down back in which he was directly responsible for conceding a number of goals he was moved forward in the 2nd half. He kicked 2 goals, one of which came as the final siren went when the game was already in the bag.

A more typical performance is his one possession game last year against the Hawks. He played the full game as well!

How long is it going to take for the MC to work out that he is not up to AFL standard? In fact with his shortcomings I'm not even sure that he could make it as a top line player at state league level.

I'll put my hand up and admit I'm a Jessie White supporter, at least he has shown he can produce at AFL level, albeit inconsistently

BTW - what is the use of a utility for a sub who is poor in all positions, i'd rather have a mid who can come on and use his pace for impact when other legs are tired e.g. Cunningham. Everitt was tried as a sub on multiple occassions last year and couldnt do that

Wasn't that long ago White was our first choice tall forward. Now he's fourth.

I have a suspicion though that Hanners was named in the starting 18 last week. Anybody confirm? (My record is downstairs but I'm too lazy to run down and get it.....shutup Al)...
I'm pretty sure Hanners was named on the bench.

When we replace Smith with Everitt, the team becomes just that less mobile than last weeks combination. I wonder if that's a good trend given that Football Park is just that little bit bigger than the SCG? I think we should have played TDL, Harry or Flash this week and played Mal, Rhyce and Marty as the back half's 3 smalls.
                          PS
Memo to Mr White, please don't be a complete Jesse this week.

I like your opinions and wish to subscribe to your newsletter. Dogs are still in front with NOT playing Pat V with us actually playing Everitt. Poor decisions, poor execution, no set position, and almost never wins agst his opponent... For this week I'd rather have a small - Smiff for Everitt is NOT a good swap.

McVeigh will go back to cover the loss of Smith as the small backline tagger, with Everitt to play up forward or even relieve Mumford in the ruck in the forward line.
