    The New Red Zone

Gets the thumbs up from me. Uninterrupted and elevated view behind the goals - tick. Quick access to a bar or food stand with a short queue - tick. I took a punt tht the spot I chose would be out of the sun by game time and that came up trumps too. Worries that we would be too crowded - unfounded. And much better to have a Fox cameraman behind me instead of some yobbo SCG member or his guest spilling beer down my neck. We still get our reserved seat stickers. Congrats to Swans membership - job well done.

Yep, a big tick from me also. Much quicker access to the loos and food outlets and the atmosphere - fan-bloody-tastic!
I didn't get a set reservation sticker though, were they near the turnstiles?

My only complaint is no after-match function.

Yeah, forgot about that. What a pleasure to sit with just diehard footy fans and their kids. The hangers on, fairweather fans and other dropkicks we had to put up with in the members are gone.

I thought the atmosphere was great also. It sounded a lot more than 22K that was actually there.

I enjoyed my Red Zone and spent the match with several lovely people from Melbourne. A very pleasant day except for about 10 minutes in the third. A good view out of the sun and could have sat in the sun if I wished to do so or on the fence. Very nice.

"Only" 22k, but amazing atmosphere, as we were all packed in togather. Very reminiscent of the small crowd we got at the Nth Melbourne final at Homebush a while back. Even though it was a smaller crowd, the atmosphere at that game was great too, as it was just the diehards.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Not a red zone member, but very dissatisfied with our relocated seats. Moved from half way up stand behind goals to the very back of the trumper.

I know it was difficult for club but given we had no access to a seat plan prior to asking if seats were ok. We should be given roughly equivalent seating.

Another one with a big thumbs up.

As mentioned, just a sea of red and white with everybody in the area being actual paying members, as opposed to the mixture of Red Zoners and SCG members, who although may well be good solid fans as well, don't as a rule dress in the merchandise and members caps etc.

I sat second row at the top deck, bloody hot in the sun and the sunscreen got a workout, but will be a bloody great spot for night games and sunny winter afternoons.

And as mentioned by Uggmeister in the ressies thread, they opened the gates at 10:30

Burt, not sure what time you get to the ground mate, but there were still a plethora of good front row, 2nd row seats in the red zone 20 minutes before bouncedown. Just because you have a reserved seat a few bays around, no reason you can't just move into the red zone.

Our group contemplated doing just that, take up the free gold seat upgrade and if we didnt like where they put us, just forget about the seats and go and sit in the red zone with ORB, Wardy and Primmy.

In the end we didn't bother, we are always there before gates and get good seats anyway...

Good point, but I want option to sit in my seats for busier (non Easter weekend) games. I like the trumper facilities, just pissed that, despite being a member for many many years I am put up in the gods. I would expect at least vaguely comparable seating.

I've been in the Trumper the last two years (315). The new additions from across the way gave it a much better atmosphere. Where is the new redzone though? I haven't been paying attention
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

The membership department has been very helpful regarding the moving of people to new seats, and I'm sure that if you contact them thru the week and politely explain your preference for alternative seats, they should be able to assist you....

BTW I hope our crowds for the next few games exceed 22k as that's a reasonably poor turnout for us, although I understand Easter will have affected numbers somewhat..
