Smith won't be playing this week, either. Sounds like a nasty infection.
Defender Nick Smith will miss one more week as he recovers from an inner-ear infection, but the Swans have no fresh injury concerns.

Likely we'll have the same 22 as against Port, notwithstanding the Goodes situation.

Is Armstrong match fit? Would love to have him in the side.

The news on SEN a few minutes ago said Goodes will be offered a 1-2 match ban.

ROK stays. He will get fitter with each match. We need jim ticking over jut like Goodesy. The older they get the more they train and play themselves in over time so they dont burn out too early in the season. These guys will be our game winners come Sept. Just like last year.

What a load of @@@@ if true. 2 games for that would be a complete joke.

I imagine Goodes has some carry over points.

I worry, Liz, about going in to a very difficult and season defining game with under-done players. I say season defining as North are a side who beat the Cats and are vying for the same posies as us. Shaw and ROK are both struggling and I'm afraid if we go in with both we will get flogged. They are quick in the mids, small backs and small forwards and very dangerous. For instance Wells would normally be taken by Smithy and this week Shaw will take him but will he be able to run the game out on someone like Wells who will run him around.

The go looks like we will miss smithy (definite), Goodsie (maybe) and Kieren (maybe).

I would be inclined to bring in TDL and Armstrong anyway. ROK to have a 2's game as he is way off the pace, he may have kicked two goals but struggled to chase. I would also be inclined to let Shawie get some form in the 2's because 11 and 10 are just not his normal thing. In the game against Port he may have been playing a defensive role because of Smithy but against Freo you can't blame that. What is more Smithy seems to manage to get plenty in his role. Shawie normally does too so I would suggest two underdone players is not a good look as North are in top form.

What utter crap. The MRP are a bunch of soft prima donners who couldn't find their arse with both hands.

Did I mention I think this is a crook decision.

I agree both players led with their legs/knees, goodes just got there first. This is yet another crap decision by the Judiciary. Let me get them on a footy field and I'll teach them about knees arthritis and all.

The annoying thing is that they take no notice that this is a body contact sport played at a fierce pace and as a result sometimes @@@@ happens.

By all means you need to get rid of thuggery in the game but suspending blokes for innocuous incidents just pisses the fans off.

NRL people are pissing themselves laughing at what constitutes a suspend able offence these days.

If you look at the Whitecross deal, Goodes looks pretty well nothing, maybe they are still trying to prove Adam is not a protected species? Too bad Nick will miss, I don't know about the ressies form, I tried to watch the game this week on the live feed but couldn't hack the stop start. I did see Armstrong make a few good disposals, looks accurate. Shaw and ROK must stay, both have had two games back which is probably worth about 4 ressies games, to put either one back there for a run would be ludicrous. If Goodes does get suspended, big if, then good opportiunity for Harry to play three quarters in the middle/forward, and probably have to keep Everitt as the sub
