While I agree with all the above, he does need to work on his tackling technique. Was disappointing to see him bring his brilliance in front of goal undone by some sloppy tackling.
But that is only a small thing!! He's certainly improved 10 fold on last season.

And at least he's making tackles stick now!

Well, I think he is the sort of player that, if he is causing some chaos in the forward line and kicking goals, you can excuse a little bit of perceived softness in close. Last season, he wasn't in the game - but this year, he is kicking goals aplenty, AND working hard to improve the defensive side as well. Loving the improvement, and looking forward to more.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I've said it before but he brings the crowd to its feet. There's genuine excitement whenever he goes near the ball and there's only a few in the AFL who can do that.

While he's not deliscious he is special.
That is the big thing about Jets, the crowd just adore him. It's been a long time since we've had a player who just gets you excited when he gets near the ball.

He is being used so cleverly as well. Keep an eye on him when the opposition go the big press up the ground. He just drops off and loiters in the centre square and as we've seen a few times this year, if we can get a quick clearance and boot the crap out of it downfield, it's a footrace situation that Jets will win. I noticed it numerous times yesterday and when the Norf defenders noticed it, instant panic as they scream at somebody with a bit of toe to drop off and get back to help them if that footrace eventuates.

I think the thing is, with his speed, he can harass players very effectively. We've seen him deal with a couple of 2-on-1s by harassing the first player and getting to the handball recipient quickly enough to pressure them as well. He might not be able to crunch them in a huge tackle but that pace is very handy for just making a contest.
