Hopefully that can continue as it will help our chances this week.
I wonder with Joey if they count the h/b that are just done to get rid of the ball in a pack so he won't be pinged. That would be wrong to count them but I suppose they are disposals and ineffective. Followers who play inside roles would have a lot of those dribble h/b and I think Parker is in the same position. I suppose Bolts was for a long time too.

Shoenmakers is the Hawks weak link. Whoever he plays on should get plenty of opportunities. Hopefully he has to play on Reid or Goodes.

but other than that we'll get our arses handed to us, and to rub the salt in the spruce moose will probably be calling the game (Jetta v Rioli)

This will be the first week i'll be tipping against us.

Rioli is in doubt. He was injured in the third quarter last week, went back on but was hampered by the injury.

I think if mumford is fit we should bring seaby down to launceston as well. Hawthorn are really bad in the air, and it was highlighted in the west coast game and on afl insider, if we have seaby and mummy seaby can play out of the goalsquare and mummy in the ruck. This will stretch them as well with sammy, goodesy up forward. We can beat this overrated lot, we beat north comfortably without our 2 best players mummy and goodes and our underrated little backman smithy.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Neil Cordy tweeted Mumford won't play. Assume he is at training session.

There's an article quoting Longmire up on the Swans' website (quoting from a pre-training media conference) where Horse confirms that Mumford won't play. Says he hasn't had enough training.

Sounds fair enough to me. Better to have him right for the following week, rather than rushing him in against a team on a big ground and where the opposition's strength isn't in the ruck. Seaby provides a decent alternative.

Yeah I agree. He also mentioned hoping both Smith and LRT will play.
                  So Goodes for Rohan
Smith will probably come in for Armstrong.
                  Who goes out for LRT?
I suppose White, if so, he's a bit stiff after last weeks effort.

This weekend will be the test. If we can get over the line that would be a major confidence boost just knowing that we can beat such a quality side. If we don't get ahead of ourselves ( and really flying under the radar isn't such a bad thing in situations like this) we may be the surprise packet ( and any other cliche I can think of) this season. I reckon if the boys just go about their business and ignore any hype that might come their way, we will be in with a great chance.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

He didn't say Smith & LRT will play he said they had resumed training and are available and will be in the squad. They have to get through fitness tests first according to Mat Cameron. This doesn't mean they are ready to go. But I would think Smithy will be in of fit but I couldn't find a place for LRT as Jesse played too well to drop.

Hawks may not be strong in the ruck, but they are strong in the midfield and that's where Mummy can offer more than Seaby. Agree that round 5 is not the stage of the season where you want to be risking a player though. There are a lot of games still to play when we will need him right.

If Hodge plays, I think the Hawks will be too strong, but if he doesn't, we have a good chance of winning, he is a hugely important player for them:

LUKE Hodge has lifted his training intensity, giving Hawthorn hope of having its captain on the field for the first time this season against the Sydney Swans on Sunday.

Hodge faces a fitness test later in the week to decide if he is fully recovered from a lingering calf injury, which has kept him on the sidelines for the Hawks' first four matches.
                              Hodge firms for Swans

If fit, LRT is a must. Likewise Smith.

I can see them coming in for the unlucky Armstrong and Everitt. White to play full forward and LRT to be a 2nd ruck option and utility (back or forward).

                                Goodes for Rohan obviously.
