    Help feed my addiction....

Time for true confessions: I have never watched the 2005 semi-final against Geelong.

It is time to fix that. Does anyone know a good source for a recording of this match? Legal sources only please. I would prefer an HD download, but DVD or blu-ray woudl be fine.

Funny you should say that.....I watched the last qrtr last night. Get the Victory Pack if you can, it has all four finals matches (although one I have never watched) and a seasons highlights DVD. I'm about to watch the last qrtr of the PF whilst I eat lunch.

I bought the Victory Pack (DVD) from the Swans Shop. It has all finals games plus a review of the entire season.

Watching the whole game is pretty frustrating. Some good highlights on YouTube.

And last quarter comeback with the radio call from the late, great Clinton Grybas overlaid.

          Still warms the soul.

Agreed. Lament the over-watered pitch and the complete lack of any decent footy until 3/4 time.

Apart from on the night, I have never watched the first 3 qrtrs. The last qrtr is part of my "hanging out for some good footy" viewing, along with the last qrtr of the PF and the GF!

Memories still vivid 7 years on. Watched this one with a mate in our local. Dire first 3 quarters. We sighed, said "never mind, next year", stepped outside for couple of minutes then returned just in time for the Nick Davis show. At the siren, we burst into almost hysterical laughter because, frankly, stealing that game was ridiculous. But also awesome.

I live in Geelong these days.."Nick Davis"is still treated as a swear word when he is mentioned in conversation down here!

Like those above, my lasting memories is slumped back in my seat in the Noble at 3/4 time, thinking how unfair it was that we had to endure being totally robbed the previous week by some atrocious umpiring (Stenglein v Leo) thus needing to fly back across the country for a semi that we played just so poorly, clearly affected by the game in Perth.

The other memory is my mate who I watched the games with during the year but we were split up for the semi (him Swans member, me SCG member at the time), texting me 60 seconds after the siren 'I want Nick Davis' babies!!!'....

My recollection was the noise. I have only ever heard it that loud once before which was the PF in 96. An ear splitting, joyous roar.

Now I wouldn't have gone as far as saying I wanted to have Nick Davis' babies but I probably would have stole a couple of them if he'd asked.

I'm sure we've had the 'biggest noise' debate in another thread.

Mine is still the '03 PF v Brisbane at Homebush. When Ablett (?) kicked a set shot goal from outside 50 just on the 3/4 time siren to get us within a kick, the noise of the 70K that night still stays with me as the best roar, it was scary loud.

The noise was amazing- it was absolutely deafening when the ball was bounced, yet somehow when Davo put it through the noise increased tenfold. Just amazing.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

These highlights will be watched by swans fans for many more years.

And that it was followed by 2 equally gripping games to reach the ultimate prize.

                              Thanks again Nick.
