Yeah I don't think it's work rate, he's like a Moore. Far more suited to the midfield but doesn't have the tank for it, yet.

What's this based on? He just took himself on a cycling trip to Burma with Crouchie (and Alex Brown). He's been injured, not lazy.
Anyway, his best position IMO is as an extractor. That's the only role I've seen him play where he has really blown me away. As a forward, meh. Winger, meh. In the guts, he attacks the ball, has great spatial awareness, he stands up in tackles a la JPK, and his disposal is excellent. Definitely where I see him long-term.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

Interesting that both Jude and Luke Parker mentioned Jed as being one one the ones who has impressed them at training since they have been back.
Jed himself mentioned that next year he doesn't want to be watching from the other side of the fence, he wants to be out there playing.
He is going to have to fight for a position in the top 22 but looks like he is taking up the challenge. It will be good to see where he can fit in - the Swans' game plan hasn't been kind to the aspirations of small forwards of late.

I agree completely, we drafted him as a permanent forward/sniper, yet I too thought his best work (and it was very good) was done in traffic. What's this based on? He just took himself on a cycling trip to Burma with Crouchie (and Alex Brown). He's been injured, not lazy.
