Round 5 vs hawthorn gameday thread

Finally got to a game, and was fortunate enough to be at the presidents lunch. As you can imagine I was fairly outnumbered and there were many smug faces at half time. Andrew Ireland was sitting not far from me and we both enjoyed the 2nd half immensely. Must say the Hawks president did mention Adam Goodes and had very kind words to say. Great ground to watch footy, Okeefe was huge in the first half and really kept us in the game.
At half time I was hoping for a a better effort but did not expect us to come out and play the way we did.

Great team effort, JPK is amazing the way he just ends up with the ball at stoppages def deserves BOG. Glad Goodes had a great second half as his first was poor. The amount of times we kicked straight the the Hawks in the first half was uncanny.

If Craig Bird doesn't get a nomination for "Unsung Hero" there is no justice. Unless the gig goes to Nick Smith, who as a sub gets the chance to show us what he is capable of on ball - didn't he deliver! Incy starting to show what he is capable of. Loving this season so far.

I would like to apologize to the team for my first half performance in the lounge room - as for the second half i just wish i had contact details for the hawk supporters i sat near last year at the MCG final and finally well done to the coaching staff and especially John Longmire as he clearly has the team believing - great effort

Also would like to comment about the playing surface...it was absolutely a treat...sensational...ANZ stadium could learn a thing or two from Little old Launceston

This time 2 years ago I remember a few of us arguing with some posters who 'couldn't see what he does' and firmly believed he was a dud and should be dropped.

I remember who one of them was and they were resolute in their opinion of JPK and his lack of work. Surprise surprise, they don't post here anymore...
