The home page of The Age Realfooty - all Swans. The whole page is practically red and white.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

One loss and it will all change to we knew they were pretenders, , although it's nice to get some coverage for a change, do they manage to get the players right

Have you guys seen our draw? from what i remember, we get it pretty easy up to about round 14-15 (mostly winnable games)... then our last 6 or 7 games are carlton, geelong, collingwood... etc (most of the better/top teams)

Eagles and Swans in perth will be interesting...

So long as the Sydney media capitalise on it, I'm happy. We've rallied about 15 friends for the Crows Saturday, many of whom don't really watch the game. They not only have to witness something special this weekend, they have to read about it, regularly!

Big Al's ridculous superstitions, now that would be an interesting read.

I have IQ'd our last 3 games and think I'll keep doing it.

              @@@@e, i love those swans.

Well that would be unfair if that was the case, but I dont think people would be calling us pretenders. After that win against the hawks, I think the whole football world finally knows that we are a threat. It is not possible to win all 22 games (well it is but very, very unlikely) so a loss will come, im just hoping its not against richmond in a couple of weeks!

Just watched Moneyball for the first time last night and can see some parallels. *SPOILER ALERT* Everybody was waiting for the Oakland A's to lose but they made a record winning streak. Eventually they stumbled at the last hurdle but then everyone came out to say they knew they would and that their system doesnt work. The same will happen to us - we can win every game until the horror stretch at the end then drop a couple against some big teams and we will be relegated to 'pretenders' again.

My comments on this thread are what I expect from the press, not how I see the side. I think we have the best bunch of blokes running around, Grant Thomas gave us the biggest wrap last night, telling mums and dads to send their kids to Sydney to learn how to play, by far the greatest endorsement of the club to come out of Melbourne that I have heard
