LRT has been rolled out as the face to front the presser chatting about the upcoming game against Richmond so I'm guessing he's not getting dropped.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

LRT is the new Warren Mckenzie. It is driving me crazy.

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

The article on Morton on the swans website could also be a sign perhaps..

I think Adelaide beat us so often, and seemingly easily, is that they always have big bodied midfielders, Thompson, goodwin, ricciuto etc they just push our blokes off the ball so easily. Richmond don't have the tallest forward line in the world but they have played well against us before. We might go with a similar line up as we did against North, with Everit as the leading forward and Armstrong the sub. That little Jake King is a pain in the proverbial too Nick Smith or Shaw for him. I do have some bad Richmond memories too. (I remember one frightful at the Wantirna Club with the game on the big screen and I was the only Swan in the house and Richo kicked 8 from a wing....).

While I wouldn't mind seeing him get a game, I would think TDL would have to be ahead of him and would be extremely stiff if MM got a senior gig before he did. It's time for TDL to get a go, come on Horse!

If your confusing post is referring to a pre-season game, Bird's form has been great this season so far so I'm not sure what your issue is with him. He is doing himself and the team proud thus far this season and he's showing what he's capable of given a decent run of luck with injuries....

BTW I think most of us here agree that LRT is a good defender and a fine servant of the team but he's currently struggling in a difficult role.

Surprised there's not more love for Gordan in this thread. He's always been a relatively good target when he plays in the 1's. Particularly coming off 10 goals and examples of unselfish play.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Yeah I am a bit surprised too. I like the way he moves when in the forward line in the resies. Don't like him anywhere near the back half but at FF a real gem! If he were playing in the VFL or SANFL he would be playing Full Forward and probably kicking 100 goals a year!

                          So Goodes out Morton in?
I'm not wild about it on several counts (LRT as 2nd Ruck, TDL's done more hard work in the 2's than Morton, 'Dre is 'Dre) but it would be in keeping with the Swans selectors normally conservative approach.

I'd like to see 'Dre get some more game time, with a stint in the 2's. And bring in TDL and either Jessica or Walsh.
                          1 Ruck + (2 x ? Rucks) > 1 Ruck + (1 x ? Rucks)

                            In: TDL, Morton, White
                            Out: Goodes, Johnson, Everitt

LRT to the backline, White to play 2nd ruck.

Appreciate it's harsh on Johnson, I just feel LRT is a better defender and would have more faith with him on the bigger forwards.

He was very very good last week, but it was "only" against Sydney Uni.

His work rate has looked excellent in all the reserves games I've seen this year but his skills / decision making have been a bit off.

LRT says "any number" of players could replace Goodes.

So far we've nominated eight - Armstrong, Cunningham, Gordon, Morton, Pyke, TDL, Walsh and/or White. Anyone else?
