Mortons got to prove that he is more than a downhill skier. Big bags against lower quality opposition proves nothing. Lets see him do it against some of the quality reserves teams and for a whole game . I actually thought the article about him was more along the lines that he wasnt quite there yet but was slowly learning the swans way of doing things which doesnt accomodate those types of players.

Barring injuries I think the changes will be minimal - Out : Goodes In : White

Hmmm, if this is the case then I wouldn't mind seeing AJ and LRT swapping, AJ to have a run up forward and LRT down back. Can't lose much with LRT not being up forward, could probably gain a little height, strength and experience down back. ( will lose some run though). Couldn't hurt to see how AJ goes up forward. Could prove a master stroke. I think if the game last week showed anything it's that against the top teams we need to take advantage of our forward entries, which if we had of done against the crows ( we had a good deal more inside 50's) we would have won comfortably. The only way to do this is to have a settled, functioning forward set up. We still have not got this and need to find it or we can forget top 4.

Amen Brother and some of us have been saying this for 2 years.Check the old thread "Forward Structure" for some really fine contributions on this very point.

So far we've nominated eight - Armstrong, Cunningham, Gordon, Morton, Pyke, TDL, Walsh and/or White. Anyone else?
Are we allowed to replace him with eight?

We just need to replace him with a forward, and take dre off teh sub and put in a hard running player, I wonder if we'll get draft concessions when Goodes retires, (2020) that would seem fair

              No Reid, Mumford or Goodes

Bring in White, Pyke in the goal square he will be too tall for the tigers. Cant believe our best 3 players are out and our 2 mobile forwards in goodesy and reid. Cant see us winning this unless we bring in white and pyke.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

It may be a bit wet in Melbourne on sat. Forecast for showers. I would, in this case be bringing in either TDL or Morton along with 1 of White or Pyke. A clever forward who can convert, mark, lead and crumb can be invaluable in slippery conditions.

Let's ask whoever's in charge of the slide tackle rule.

that's official. LRT is out with a bruised heel. I hope these two get a solid couple of games in a row for the seniors. And I hope TDL isn't the sub, I'm not sure how effective he would be. Maybe McGlynn will be as he was injured last week.

However this is great news as most of you know I am a TDL lover and have been campaigning his return for ages

Nope official - just went up on the facebook thread. I'm stoked that TDL finally gets another chance.... I just hope he grabs it with both hands - he has too much potential to be left rotting in the reserves, and I think he is good enough to be a long term player for us. Come on TDL - show the coaches what we've been missing!

Is that LRT's third injury this year?

Big job for White, being the second marking target up forward and second ruck.

TDL should go well in the expanse of the G. I'm guessing either he or Andrejs will be sub.

Bugger, I was going to claim that as a brilliant insight lol
Does look like a pretty good forward structure, when White goes into the ruck they'll probably clear out the forward line completely, creating Jetta's junction?

It has TDL listed in the forward pocket with Everitt on the interchange bench, meaning it is more likely for Everitt to be the sub
