No wonder the Eagles have devised a way to get free kicks cos you can't get them if you are from out of Melb and the poor Melb teams whine when they don't get them at Perth. Incidentally Sydney and Brisbane get the least frees at their home ground from any other team. Time we fans started being like Melb fans and influencing the umpsComment

They had a go that quarter. Just too slow all over the ground though. Skills remain poor. And seriously there is a real lack of smarts all over the ground. Mcveigh has got to be harder at the contest. Everitt likewise, the defenders desperately need sorting out. The decision to move Grundy forward was smart. White competes well and is chasing hard but our really good inside mids are just getting slaughtered.Comment

Long way to go yet, at least we took back a bit of momentum there toward the end of the half. 6 goals down, not insurmaountable, butthe midfield really needs to get with it. we also need to stick a few tackles, they're running thru us, Everitt should have handballed the shot off lol.You can't argue with a sick mind - Joe WalshComment

Bird should never ever play in Melbourne again too slow
Seaby has been good for a month but looks tired and needs a spellYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

Umpires have not been good, but are certainly not to blame for our situation.
Can't believe it took us so long to change to man on man, which has stemmed the flow.
Now to win some damn contested ball and claw it back.... Gee we love to do things the hard way!
Why is it though, that time and time and time again we come out in the first quarter looking slow, uninterested, soft, and second to the ball?
Seems to take a rev from the coach fr the players to pull their fingers out.Ed Considine's day out - Round 3, 16th April 1995.
11 Kicks, 13 Handballs, 8 Marks, 1 Goal, 1 Behind, 1 Tackle, 1 Hitout, 3 Brownlow votes (his only votes)

Psychological "cues" , from Tigers misses , should inspire the Swans to hit back.
Instead of exploiting this , the Swans have just given the ball back to them.Comment

Geez guys. Lighten up. Yes we are playing like crap and yes we may lose, but I'm sitting here surrounded by tiger supporters and I'm having to suck it up. Let's remember that we have plenty of improvement but they don't. Glass half full, guys.Comment

OK...no Goodes...Mumford hasn't played much any way...Richmond are an improving side,,,but isn't it funny about all the things that even the Melbourne press which hasn't got a clue about Sydney most of the time has been announcing the arrival of something impressive north of the border. Today...what can you say...outplayed pretty much as I expected by a more desperate & skilled team...all our "guns" look like the mostly ordinary footballers they are. McGlyn is a light of other days...White is invisible...Everitt a couple of good things but a couple of really weak things...would not get a game in a good side. Bolton...Bird...Parker...Jack even Kennedy...mostly well held. Our "well settled" backline back to its old "rabbit in the headlight" tricks...no composure at all.
Hey...back to business as usual...can we turn it around in the second half...don't think so...but sure hope so!Comment
