    Round 8 - Melbourne

About the best thing going for us after the loss to Richmond is precedent; after last year's performance in Round 21, we scored a famous win against Geelong the following week. So anything can and does happen.

Which is why this week's game against the Demons might not be the lay-down misere so many people are expecting. The Dees are having a bad season to date, but they've been more than competitive against us for the past couple of years, inflicting a humiliation at the MCG in 2010, and another near-humiliation last year.

So we had better come out and be ready to play four quarters. And no passengers either.

Yeh, I dont care what the margin, even if its a hard fought 1 point win against the cellar dwellers at the SCG, just as long as our boys DONT come with the mindset of.....we'll just turn up and the 4 points are in the bag.

Anything less than 40 points isn't great.

I'm 99% sure the Swannies will be up for this one.

I'd be disappointed if they didn't start the game at a 100miles an hour given the glacially slow starts to games this year.

A 4 qtr effort should reap a solid win.

            Yeah, I agree.
            Should be a 50+ win.

More or less, the same dysfunctional Melbourne with whom we could only draw last year and lose to in embarrassing fashion the year before...

... but let's assume a clean slate and a strong desire to make amends for last week. Should win by at least 6 goals.

After the performance against the tiges you would want to think that we would come out and win by 60+. But im not so sure we will, but it will be a win. Swans by 23.

                    Hear Me Out.

Call me stupid but I dont think well beat the demons this week. I know they are playing horribly at the moment, and lack any structure with a lackluster coach who the players dont wanna play for, but we have a knack of lettting dud teams into a bit of form. Because the demons have no structures around the ground, there gonna try win every hard ball and just bomb it into their fifty with mitch clarke, jurrah, watts, im very worried. Which targets do we have? Sammy, whos in terrible form. A debut performance from tommy walsh? They always seem to play well against us, and frankly im worried. Lighten me up please.

                      You have NFI!!
                      Is that better!!!

                      I imagine Jurrah won't be 100% there.
                      Watts is on 2nd,
Then we only have Clarke to worry about.

If we lose this game AT HOME, we may as well pack up for next season.
Seriously, the loss to the Tiges, whilst disappointing, was not totally unexpected. They have been playing well, and have not been lucky to snag a win.
They snag one against us. Watch them go down against the Bombers.
